Q: BMW X6 2010 - 35i xDrive?
Im planing to buy the X6 in september. I have been in the car selling business my self, and had my own dealership in russia. Im wondering about the negotiating the price. The MRSP is 63,900$ . I know that the invoice price (The price the dealership buys the car is about $56,000 - $57,000 from the factory) is it reasonable to make an offer of putting 6,000$ down payment for the lease, and making them take the price of the vehicle down by 6,000$. I have a friend that bought a honda civic 6 years ago for $2,000 lower then the price (the price was 24,900 and he negotiated for 23,000) Taking in account the economic slow down and recession. I think i should be able to get more then 5000$ of the X6. What do you think?

A: Those GM vehicles listed by the other answerer may be well equipped, but they aren't real off pavement vehicles. You won't find one that gets decent mileage. They just aren't imported into America. They won't let us have the diesels over here, so we are stuck with massive gasoline engines (required to move the things reasonably quickly) that don't do the same job. The only vehicle you have listed there that will really work off road is the Range Rover. They are wonderful off pavement. The Land Cruiser is a great vehicle as well, but not the behemoths we get in America. Other countries get the real deal, but not us. They just won't let us have them. Various crash regulations that are rubbish to begin with, and emissions regulations that keep the diesels off our shores prevent it. The only thing available that is good off road and still has some luxury is the Rovers. They are all great, but the mileage is not. There is another option, though. Subaru. They are far better off the pavement than most of the SUVs out there, and reasonably well equipped. On top of that, they are cheaper and get decent fuel mileage. The Forrester is a great vehicle.

A: Utterly and totally hideous! Don't forget one other, the Volvo 240 GLT http://images.cars.com/main/DMI/188819/08005.jpg Urrrrghh. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!? LOL. Mercedes - Horrific attempt at making an SUV not an SUV. BMW's - X3 = weak and undercooked attempt at a baby X5, X6 = something I don't ever want to see again. Please! 1 series coupe and convertibles are just sorry efforts. I think they gave up half way through design. Pontiac Aztec is quite possibly the most hideous American car I've ever seen. I mean there is no angle you can look at it to reduce the "Medusa"ness of it. It truly could turn you to stone if you stared at it... PT Cruiser...now that's in a world of its own. URGH...its like someone got a retro look, and proceeded to smash it repeatedly with the other ugly cars in the world...

Q: Is this The worse 4X4Xfar?
I'm a big fan of 4X4's, but have you seen the latest offering from BMW, the X6? This car is huge, but due to the awfull styling there's no room in the back and knowing BMW's other 4X4's, it will get stuck driving on a gravel driveway. A: Well, the anti-4x4 lobby are going to love it - it plays right into their hands! Apparently it's quite good off road, but how completely ridiculous to give it a coupe style rear and only four seats - in other words, it's just for show but even on that score, in my opinion, it fails miserably. I own a Discovery 3 and I love it. But the reason for owning it is it carries 7, it can be a van and it goes anywhere and does anything on an economical diesel engine. It's not an object of beauty, it's a working machine. Not what the Beemer is, I think.

well i will be driving in about a year and a bit and i have decided what i want for my first car (im obviously working for the money) 1) Mercedes Jeep (Found one for £4,000) 2) BMW X6 4X4 (Found one at £4,000) 3) Lexus jeep (arrpox £5,000) 4) Grand Cherokee (£3000) i was wondering what wuld i have to pay like insurance tax and everything thank you to whoever answers

A: anything but the Grand Cherokee, very unreliable the vehicles your looking at all will have high maintenance and ownership cost. unless your a mechanic or know a good one be prepared to shell out a lot of money to your local dealership. BMW Lexus MB don't buy a Jeep G. Cherokee
